Biography
Today President of the French Committee of the IUCN, Maud Leliève has been an activist for environmental issues since the beginning of her professional career, such as the Erika oil spill (1999) and various issues abroad, particularly in Africa.
holder of a degree in political science, lawyer in environmental law, Maud Leliève participated in various COP Biodiversity and international negotiations on these issues. She has been involved in environmental protection for 20 years.
General representative of the Eco Maires, she leads a network of local authorities, mainly on biodiversity issues in France and Africa.
Ten years ago, she created the Assises nationales de la biodiversité. She also sits on the board of the French League for the Protection of Birds and is a member of the international NGO BirdLife.
