Martha joined the CEMEX family 25 years ago and is currently Global Social Impact Director for CEMEX and Director of CEMEX-Tec Center for Sustainable Communities,  co-president of the Private Sector Alliance for the Creation of Disaster Resilient Societies (ARISE) from UNDRR and President of the ARISE Network in Mexico, President of the UN Global Compact network in Mexico, also is president of NEO Nuevo Leon (a Multisectoral Alliance for the employability of youth in Latin America), RedEAmerica in Latin America (Network that promotes development of sustainable communities in Latin America) and President of the Human Development Committee of the state of Nuevo Leon Council.

Martha is a lifelong learner, and has a strong academic background on public policy and social impact, with professional experience in both the public and private sector.  Being a social and inclusive activist, passionate about women and youth empowerment, social innovation and a firm believer in the creation of strategic alliances to scale efforts. Martha has led the establishment of more than 500 global active partnerships with governments, academia, multilaterals, civil society and companies, and led programs that have contributed to the wellbeing of 17.6 million people in 5000 communities globally. She participates in 30 councils of the private and public sector, and has been recognized nationally and internationally for her leadership by organizations such as Forbes, the WBCSD, amongst others. The programs she las led have been acknowledged and awarded by the United Nations, FORTUNE Change the world list, HABITAT, Mexican Stock Exchange, Organization of American States (OAS), Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), for creating shared value as part of the business strategy.
