In ‘Growth Within’, a report published in June 2015, the Ellen MacArthur Foundation developed with its partners a vision for a circular economy in Europe and demonstrated that this path could improve European competitiveness and create better economic, social and environmental outcomes than the current development path. The analyses identified associated annual benefits of around EUR 1.8 trillion a year. In this session, we will share insights from this research and discuss the perspectives of different companies and thought leaders who are driving this transition in Europe in the sectors of the built environment, food systems and waste management.
