He is currently Chairman & Scientific Director of the Joint European Disruptive Initiative (JEDI), precursor to a European ARPA, bringing together more than 6000 leading scientists, startup founders and industrialists from 30 European countries – to accelerate the continent’s leadership in disruptive innovations, in climate technologies, lifesciences, Space, Oceans and Digital.

A Young Global Leader from the World Economic Forum and European 40under40, he is reserve Colonel with the French Air & Space Force and sits on the Innovation Board of the Munich Security Conference and of the Advisory Board of the Saarland 3 billion Euro Transformation Fund.
