Gender equality has been advancing worldwide in recent years. However, there are still many challenges to overcome within and outside companies. The implementation of basic rights (such as eliminating violence and harassment), of more egalitarian conditions, such as the lack of salary difference between men and women with the same function and the encouragement to hold leadership positions.
That is why all sectors of the economy should contribute to women’s empowerment, which means enabling women to fully develop their capacities, enabling them to have the same job opportunities and ensuring equality in social and economic rights. That is, ensuring the necessary conditions for them to take control of their lives.
This equal treatment of women and men is one of the basic factors that constitute strong economies, more stable societies, just and with better quality of life for all citizens. In addition, equity also functions as a catalyst for the development of organizations, both in the public and private spheres.
