Frédérique Bedos is a journalist, director and producer of documentaries.

In 2010, she created the Imagine project, an NGO with an engaging promise, “From inspiration comes action! It aims to create a movement of citizen engagement for a more inclusive and sustainable society. It raises awareness through inspiring films and mobilizes people through coaching programs towards actions that are in line with the Sustainable Development Goals defined by the UN.
In 2017, Frédérique was awarded the title of Chevalier de l’Ordre national du Mérite and was also a finalist for the Alice Guy Award for the best French filmmaker of the year 2020.

Biography

Frédérique Bedos is a journalist, director and producer of documentaries. She has produced and directed a dozen films, all of which aim to inform and encourage action.

She started as a cultural reporter for Fashion and Design TV5 in New York. Back in Europe, she hosts several daily shows in London during the week, and several other prime time entertainment shows in France during the weekends.

In March 2010, she created the Imagine Project, an information NGO that aims to create a movement of citizen engagement for a more inclusive and sustainable society. She raises public awareness through inspiring films and mobilizes them through accompanying programs towards actions that are in line with the sustainable development goals defined by the United Nations.

In 2014, the President of the Republic, François Hollande, chose Frédérique Bedos to join the sponsorship committee of “La France s’engage”, the presidential project dedicated to social innovation. A year later, in 2015, she published her very first autobiographical book entitled “La petite fille à la balançoire” .

In 2017, as her NGO The Imagine Project was officially recognized by the United Nations, Frédérique was awarded the title of Chevalier de l’Ordre National du Mérite. Two prestigious awards were then presented to her: in Miami, the “Women who make a Difference” award and in France, the “Trophy of Inspiration” by the French association “For Women in the Media”. She is also a finalist for the Alice Guy Award for the best French director of the year 2020.
