Stéphane DUPRE la TOUR is the Managing Director for Standardization at EDF’s Research Division since 2015. He is the president of CCPN, French National Standardization Strategic Committee within AFNOR. Previously, he was head of Renewable Energy and Mobility division at the Corporate Strategy Department. He was also from 2007 to 2012, the plant manager of EDF Cattenom’s Nuclear Power Plant (4 nuclear reactors of 1300 MW in the east of France and 1500 workers).

From 2000 to 2006, he was adviser of French President Jacques CHIRAC on topics such as ecology, industry, innovation, environment, energy, postal services and telecommunications, transportation, tourism, and regional planning. He was the initiator of the national road safety project, of the Constitutional Charter for the Environment and of the main energy laws and projects in France at that time.

He also worked as a civil servant as main assistant to the Managing Director for Industry, Information, Technology and Postal Services (French Ministry of Industry) and has head of the Regional Industrial Environment Service in Nord-Pas-de-Calais (Nord of France).
