Carmen has led the introduction in Walmart Chile of the Global Ethics program (2010- 2015) and the Compliance program (2010-2013), as well as the largest M&A operation in the Chilean retail industry and the de-list of Walmart Chile as a publicly traded company (2016).

She became part of Sofofa trade association executive committee in 2015, and became President of the Diversity & Inclusion Counsel of Walmart Chile in 2016. She received the Chilean Women Executive of the Year Award in 2017.

Biography

With 23 years of career in the legal area of the retail industry, Carmen has led the introduction in Walmart Chile of the Global Ethics program (2010- 2015) and the Compliance program (2010-2013). In the corporate field in Walmart, she has led the largest M&A operation in the Chilean retail industry with the sale of Espacio Urbano Shopping Centers. She also commanded the de-list of Walmart Chile as a publicly traded company (2016).

Included in the ranking of 100 Women Leaders in 2010 and 2013, she joined as counselor to SOFOFA trade association in 2014, becoming part of its executive committee in 2015. In 2017 she received the Chilean Women Executive of the Year Award.

As President of the Diversity & Inclusion Counsel in Walmart Chile (2016), she has been part of the instatement of the Diversity & Inclusion program, a successful case study for the Chilean corporate environment.
