Prabashni Naicker is the regional compliance officer for SCN-Lavalin, one of the largest engineering and construction groups in the world. She is also the coordinator of the Coalition for Ethical Operations Alliance, which aims to promote ethics in business and fight corruption in sub-Saharan Africa.

Over the last 26 years, Prabashni Naicker has worked in the Education, Information Technology, Power, Mining and Oil and Gas sectors. She has occupied roles in operations management, business development, ethics and compliance.

Prabashni has been Regional Compliance Officer (Sub-Saharan Africa) for SNC-Lavalin since 2015. In 2009, she began her career with the company as a Project Manager in Canada. As of May 2017, Prabashni has taken on the additional role of Human Resources Director for the Sub-Saharan Africa region, based in Johannesburg. She also serves as a Board Director of the company’s South African entity. In her role as Compliance Officer and HR Director, her mandate is to be an ambassador for the company’s compliance program as well as driving a culture of ethics throughout the organization’s operations in the Sub-Saharan Africa region.

Prabashni completed a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) at the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal (South Africa) in 2003. She is a Certified Ethics Officer with the Ethics Institute and has recently completed training in Director Development with the Institute of Directors of South Africa.
