Corporate Director and former President and CEO of Desjardins Group, Monique Leroux is currently a Senior Advisor to Fiera Capital and Chair of the Industrial Strategy Council of Canada.

 

Motivated by corporate governance as well as environmental and social issues, Monique Leroux is among Canada’s leading minds in the fields of management, finance, arts and education. A thought leader and mentor, she has extensive experience in key positions at Desjardins Group and as a board member of international companies such as Michelin Group, S&P Global, Couche-Tard and Bell/BCE.

Her ethical and creative approach to strategic business growth, innovation and community support has been recognized with several awards. She is a member of the Order of Canada, an Officer of the National Order of Quebec, a Knight of the National Order of the Legion of Honour (France), a recipient of the Woodrow Wilson Award (United States) and the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Ordre des comptables professionnels agréés du Québec. She has also received the title of Companion of the Order, the title of Fellow of the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD) and the title of Emeritus Director of the Rideau Hall Foundation.

 

She is a member of the G7 Impact Task Force (ITF) and devotes some of her time to non-profit organizations focused on education, youth and the arts.
